Our 8-session journey takes therapeutic approach to the breath and aims to recognise and develop an intimacy with disruptive energy patterns and behaviours such as anxiety, fear, worry and stress. Each session is designed to strengthen our capacity to deal with these experiences so that we may live our lives with more clarity, grounding and openness.
We do not take a psychological approach in re-visiting past traumatic experiences, rather we deal with what is present here and now. From here we empower ourselves to understand our current situation without getting caught in stories, loops and patterns.
The 8-week journey is designed to be experiential, and non-theory based, so that you can learn to experience shifts and changes within yourself.

What we will focus on:
Understanding traumatic imprints on the energetic body
Establishing a regular daily breath practice session
'Resourcing’ - finding a safe space of refuge within
Developing the ‘felt sense’ - the capacity to recognise emotion (energy-in-motion) within the body
Developing the capacity to ‘allow’, not ‘avoid’
Establishing a link with the ‘inner child’
Breathing techniques to calm the nervous system
Understanding the mind’s role in trauma
Living from the heart and hearing its messages
The first 3 sessions are geared towards establishing a routine and framework for your breathing journey, so that you have a fuller understanding of what experiences could arise when undertaking Breathwork. During these sessions we will explore techniques and exercises that help forge a strong and familiar link between the breath and body.
SESSION 1 - What is trauma?, establishing a breathing practice, resourcing exercise
SESSION 2 - Developing our 'felt sense', awareness training, being with emotions
SESSION 3 - Bridge-work exercise - dis-covering feeling, asking questions
Sessions 4-8 will consist of deep-dive guided Breathwork sessions, each carefully themed to gradually allow yourself to discover your body's messages, develop a meaningful connection with them, and open more to the present moment.

YOUR BREATHWORK PRACTITIONER
Matt is a Certified Breathwork Practicioner, having trained with Alchemy of Breath at Alchemy School of Healing Arts (ASHA) in Italy. After experiencing profound shifts and understandings in his life, he now works with others to guide them in experiencing their fuller selves. He is widely experienced in Ayurveda and works witith bringing balance to to life through living more in-sync with nature's rhythms. His focus is on connecting people with the heart, bringing individuals to trancendental states during sessions to align with their truth and create clarity in their lives.
