A BIT ABOUT OUR CIRCLES

IMG_6241_edited.jpg

Come and join a world-wide community of embodiment, expression and self-acceptance.

bala's has been holding space for people to come together over the past 5 years in Hong Kong, India, Canada and United Kingdom and our network is continuing to grow.  Recently, Rebecca has been focussing on women’s healing circles, such as Embodying Art and A Woman’s Wilderness to encourage an empowerment of body image and self-esteem, as well as becoming autonomous with our bodies and choices within our lives.

Healing circles are opportunities for all to step into a safe space of acceptance, creativity and support. Together, we explore how to move from unconscious habitual patterns of living towards conscious and empowered states of living.

Within our circles we use an array of approaches such as expressive art therapy, occupational therapy, breath-work, reiki and yoga to create a space of peace and transformation for those who join. Each group is led in an intuitive and improvised manor that allows for spontaneity and inspiration to come from the unique individuals within the group.

A NOTE ON LANGUAGE

Circles are for everyone.

Something about 'women' limited but my reach isnt. if you feel called to explore any and all topics offered please reach out. If you have any suggestions, we are open to listen to these and change the language accordingly. language is limited.

“The doors to the world of the wild Self are few but precious. If you have a deep scar, that is a door, if you have an old, old story, that is a door. If you love the sky and the water so much you almost cannot bear it, that is a door. If you yearn for a deeper life, a full life, a sane life, that is a door.”

― Clarissa Pinkola Estés, Women Who Run With the Wolves.

Untamed and connected — a space to let your wild nature run free.  Our group aims to support girls and women in understanding their bodies, listen to their inner guidance and feel empowered to get close to their instinctual nature and in doing so, create a life that is in-line with what they want for themselves.

Patriarchal society has conditioned the woman to be silent, submissive and yielding. We have been taught to surrender our bodies and spirits to avoid confrontation or another's discomfort. Yet within A Woman's Wilderness, we make movements into becoming empowered and full participants of our wild and untamed nature.

Women are welcomed into a safe space to share and express feelings and experiences within any and all areas of womanhood, in the support of her fellow sisters. The group will begin in an expressive movement meditation, using the body to settle into the space, connect to ourselves and one another. The session will naturally transition to cover topics of body safety, natural fertility and contraception, menstrual cycles, connecting to and understanding the moon cycles and sexual intimacy. To close the session, we will be led into a deep connected stillness to set intentions towards a place of support and safety within ourselves.

Topics covered:

Body Safety | Menstrual cycles | Natural Fertility and Contraception  |  Moon cycles  |  Sexual Intimacy

Once you book, we will email you with a quick questionnaire and preparation guide so you are all set-up for the session.

We focus on breaking the taboos of:

  • Typical roles of women and shame, including feminine expectations, body care, beauty care, sexual abuse, sexual experimentation, relationships with food and eating, sexual health.

  • Insecurity and disconnection with our innate and creative nature, including sensuality, sexuality, fear and womanhood, trauma, menstrual cycles and female development, digestive health and sensitivities.

Once you book, we will email you with a quick questionnaire and preparation guide so you are all set-up for the session.

BECOMING ART
Therapeutic women's circles harnessing bodily expression for self-exploration, healing and empowerment.

90 MINUTES   |   ONLINE ( from the comfort of your own home )

PER PERSON  |  £30    $350HKD
(minimum 4 people)

Our Expressive Art Therapy is centered around creating a safe space where each woman embodies the art form that they are. This is an evolving project within Women’s Empowerment with a vision to liberate women from common false and objective views of beauty and body image by connecting with their deep feminine energy in her most organic form.

During the share, sisters will have the choice to be as nude or covered as they feel comfortable, with each woman having the chance to draw and be drawn by her sisters within a sacred life drawing class.

To close the evening we hold a sharing and expression circle, which takes form depending on the energy created in the space. By connecting with this free and open nature each woman can feel safe and accepted by those around her and support her sisters in turn. This circle works towards healing vulnerabilities linked to trust, intimacy and any views that do not honour the beautiful nude form in which we are born.

This is an incredibly empowering practice with the aim of having fun and expressing the inner child within each of us. Art is subjective, and so are we, so let us uncover and rejoice in the idea that no two of us are the same, and to be proud of the unique energies of our Selves and our sisters!

Once booked, we willl email a quick questionnaire and preparation guide so you can share this with the team.

Please email us to book a group session.
