About the venue;
Engage with the great outdoors in this special retreat, designed to allow you the space you need to let go and be yourself.
Jenny and her family have been caretakers of the Tung Hang Mei valley in which Ark Eden is situated for over 30 years, and over this time have created somewhat of a magical wilderness. The feel of the valley is truly unlike anything in Hong Kong, and remains to most a hidden secret.
When you step into the fertile valley, you step into a womb of creation. A place to be held, to express, and to become in-touch with what many of us forget, living here in Hong Kong.
Most of the trees you'll see on the valley's surrounding hillsides have been planted in the countless tree-planting initiatives Jenny has led during her time spent in the valley. Jenny's mission has been to create a framework of accessible programs that can bring Hong Kong residents to understand the importance of environmental preservation and regeneration.
Ark Eden inspires with the three core messages of Permaculture:
EARTH CARE - PEOPLE CARE - FAIR SHARE
The valley has become a refuge for those seeking both inspiration and escape from the hustle and bustle of life in Hong Kong - adults & children alike. With the pandemic locking many people to Hong Kong, and with uncertain times ahead, we feel that it is time to open up the valley to a series of accessible and affordable wellness retreats and activities for those who need them.
This day retreat into the jungle aims to do just that.

What the day looks like
OPENING FIRE CIRCLE
Enjoy wild tea from the jungle as we meet our group for the day and get to know each other. We'll drop into a connecting meditation led by Matt, to fully arrive and ground into the space together.
We'll then move into some gentle movement, led by Bernice, to get our bodies moving and flowing with the abundant nature that surrounds us. We will allow our bodies to move into its fullest expression and open-up to the day as it progresses.
MOVEMENT IN THE GARDEN
Matt will prepare a selection of seasonal Ayurvedic-inspired dishes for lunch, packed with Prana and carefully selected ingredients. The food is designed to ground, nourish & balance the body - for all body types to enjoy.
Get groovy and moving in preparation to open up for our breathwork & journaling session. Allow the energy to process and move through the body, releasing what no longer serves us, allowing us to move forward into new possibilities.
BREATHWORK UNDER THE TREES
We'll explore a powerful method of self-regulation, called Conscious Connected Breathing (CCB). This session will help you clear your mind and regulate your nervous system - creating space and clarity where there was not before. CCB also helps with emotional release for anything that has felt stagnant or stuck.
Enjoy some homemade cake & tea whilst integrating the breathwork session with a journal and pen, creating closure for the day beside the fire. Journaling is a creative and therapeutic practice which can support us in externalizing and making sense of our experiences, reflecting on the past and setting intentions for the future. It allows us to slow down, get some space from our thoughts and perhaps view them in a different light. F.eel warm and renewed as you prepare to leave Ark Eden with fresh insight into your life and the energy to carry it forwards.
