an introduction to balancing your body using food & the elements

Ayurveda offer us a chance to look deeper into the root causes of the imbalances that our bodies and minds experience. It provides us a framework to live by - and helps us develop an understanding that all dis-eases we experience are simply because we have an im-balance of the elements within us.

This workshop focuses on how we can mindfully harness the power of food and right-eating for our unique body types in order to help prevent dis-ease in our lives, and live more in-tune with natural cycles and processes.


From this session, you will...

  • Find out your unique Doshic type (body type)

  • Learn what foods work best for your Doshic type

  • Generate an understanding of the elements at play in nature and within your body, and how to bring them into balance

  • Feel empowered to make healthy decisions on what you put in your body

  • Discover how the seasons impact our digestive fire, and how to eat to suit your climate

  • Understand how Prana works within food, and how to harness it to become more energised

  • Learn how to stimulate your digestive fire, and how to keep it burning

  • Discover healthier natural eating practices that align with nature's cycles

  • Create a 'fridge list' of what foods you need to eat more or less of to remain balanced

  • Feel more connected to the world around you
     

The topic of Ayurveda can be quite overwhelming, and so here we aim to provide you with a broad introduction to the three Doshic types (body types) - VATA, PITTA & KAPHA, and allow you to become familiar with your unique constitution so that you can continue your Ayurvedic learning and journey with a framework to work with.

Matt is a 300 hour Ayurvedic Lifestyle Consultant, having trained with the Americal Institute of Vedic Science. He specialises in the food branch of Ayurveda, and in his work links in the bigger-picture of how body's diet and inner condition mirrors that of our earth and soil.

 

His passion is cooking food for people that can bring balance and contentment to their bellies & souls. With a background in F&B, he chefs for retreats and events with an intent to bring the love and wisdom to a wider audience.
